On Sunday, October 29, 2006, we operated an excursion over the San Luis Central between Sugar Junction, the connection with the San Luis & Rio Grande, and the end of the line at Center, Colorado. The SLC was originally built to haul sugar beets to a sugar factory near Monte Vista, but today hauls mainly potatoes and general vegetables.

Two runbys later, we headed on south to Sugar Junction
and ended our weekend of Colorado train trips.
